I really like the concept of this game, but I'm deeply confused about what actual play looks like.

Everyone (except the Noble Beauty) takes a simultaneous turn of one of four actions. No problem.  But "Only at the end of a round when all players have taken their turn does noble beauty act." -- but...there are no rules for what the Noble Beauty does when they act? Is this when they judge the performances and award points?  I don't know. =/  I assume this is how it works?

Hey sorry for the delay

You have it right. The intention is basically that if someone reaches the top of the tower with the amount of points, he doesn’t automatically win.  The choice is made, and points declared when  all players have acted.

oh, okay. And each turn, the number of points they get is... determined by the Beauty judging their actions?

yes, exactly. The beauty give out points from 1-5 depending on how pleased they were with the courtship of the players.

Gotcha; I wish it had been a little more clear that these things were 'judged' but I like it now that I get it! :)

Very cool game, I have some notes if you are interested in feedback.

Great, I posted them in your review so it’s private to you. Cheers.

They are not private. Everyone else sees them and usually the designer doesn’t because itch’s rate system is sooooo great. A lot of us don’t even know where to find the reviews written for our games.

(1 edit) (+2)

Sorry, they are private except to my followers, who also see them in the feed. Meaning they do not appear on the product thread space. On your game edit page you can go to interact > ratings & reviews to see your reviews.
